1 Large Chicken Breast and 1 Large Chicken Thigh Bone in Skin on
4 cups mixed vegetables
Salt and Pepper to Taste.. I used 2 teaspoons
1 Teaspoons parsley flakes
1 Can Grands Biscuits (Not Flaky)
2 Quarts Water
1 Tablespoon chicken base or 2 chicken boullion cubes
1/2 White onion roughly chopped…
Prepare as shown… 🙂


  1. That’s how my mom made it. It’s great. I actually prefer canned biscuits for the dumplings over homemade dumplings. They are softer. Thanks for sharing. I think I will make this tonight.

  3. There is a big debate going on down here in Northern Florida…Dumplings should be balls or piece of dough…Husband is from Upstate NY and he says balls..southerners say strips of dough…geeze louize…We prefer it this way mon ami!
