  1. For wings and small chicken tenders, double cook is a great idea.  Good job!  I would also suggest using organic or free range chicken wings from places like Whole Food.  They will taste much better.

For larger pieces like chicken breasts or legs, there is no need for double cook.  It will take about 15 minutes at 340F to cook through so by the time the meat is done, the batter is very crispy.

  2. I like the looks of that recipe and am going to try it. I also raise fryer rabbits that I bet that this recipe would work with also. What do you think?

  3. Trying this with some chipotle powder instead of cayenne! using some adobo for the hot sauce 🙂 so excited about these wings can’t wait till theyre done!

  4. this looks delcious, i’m gonna have to try this out and nake it for my relatives. (i don’t eat meat) my mom has a double dipped fried chicken recipe:

    you need:
    a plastic bag
( i would add more spices if i were you, but you don’t have to)

1: in a bowl or container, put flour, pepper, salt, and water until it is a mixture. don’t add too much. it shouldn’t be a pancake mixture. just right.

    2. coat the chicken (piece by piece is how she does it.) after coating the chicken, shake off the excess coating.

    3. put flour, pepper, and salt into a large ziploc plastic bag. put the coated chicken into the bag and shake until the chicken is coated in the dry mixture.

    4. fry the chicken. when done frying, let it cool off. congrats you have nice crunchy double-dipped fried chicken!

  5. Beautiful work, man. Love your Southern accent and that amazing blues riff as background music, too. Makes the video a lot more fun to listen.
